A BIG THANK YOU
TO OUR SPONSORS!
Dear Habitat for Humanity of Knox County,
You have made my family's dream become a reality by choosing my family as the 2013 partner family. In the past, I have made decisions that weren't always good decisions, but filling out the application for Habitat was the best decision I ever made. It's a wonderful opportunity to be a huge part of building our home. My children have been a huge part of this build, I couldn't have done this build without my 16-year old and my 13-year old. They have put in countless hours while I am at work to make our new home a success. I feel this is giving the boys a sense of responsibility and is teaching them to make good choices and good decisions. I also feel that this is teaching the boys that with hard work and dedication anything is possible. We cant wait each week to see new progress unfold as the build comes together and starts looking like a house. It has been a truly wonderful experience so far and, not only are we going to have a new home, but we also have gained new family.

For us being a HFH family has meant a new beginning. Being able to give our kids a home and room to play and grow has been the best. Walking in the front door remembering how much work pride and love went into building our home with help from people who were strangers at the beginning but ended up like a real family. They weren't just random people they actually care about the homes they build and the people who live in them. Being a habitat for humanity partner family isn't just a group or club it's a family that has truly changed our lives.
We love all of you guys!
The sowul family!
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, age, marital status, or sources of income.
Next time you are at the ReStore say hello to Mike Flora. Mike is "retired" and Habitat for Humanity is so lucky to have him on our team. We also like to thank his wife Patty, for loaning him to us because even though the store is only open 2 days a week he is always working. When he has free time to likes to spend it with his grandchildren at the lake! One of his grandchildren was a part of the 2014 National Championship Ohio State Buckeyes and Mike wears his Buckeye gear with great pride. He runs the ReStore as if it were his very own business along with the best group of volunteers. One of my favorite things about Mike is he always has an index card in his back pocket and can tell you exactly where the store is year to date and compare it to the year before and knows how much we are up or down and will let you know the reason for both. We love you Mike and would be lost without you. Thank you for all you do!
Mike Flora, ReStore Manager
